About me
After gaining a Bachelor of Engineering Degree from the University of Queensland, I have covered a wide range of roles within the engineering, construction, building and internet industries. My experience includes technical, manufacturing, production, sales, marketing, finance, business development and general management roles. I am passionate about organisational effectiveness – getting alignment of the vision and strategy, systems and structures, and people through strong leadership. My true motivation comes from wanting to make a difference.
I have also been involved with music my entire life and support the theory that maths and music are happy friends. For the past 20 years, I have been the Musical Director of numerous groups, from small close harmony ensembles through to community choirs. During this time, I have been actively involved with all aspects of music production, particularly live music, and as such have extensive experience in sound engineering. I have also been a member of close harmony singing groups.
I bring a wealth of experience to both the business world and the choral world - as a business coach; a business strategist; a compere; a facilitator; a speaker; and a musical director.
By the way, my nickname is Willow, and Salix is a type of Willow timber.
